Synthetic: from gr. συνϑετικός, der. from σύνϑεσις «synthesis». In chemistry, of substance obtained by synthesis, not derived from animal or vegetal materials.
Wearing clothes made from non-animal fabrics is a choice that goes beyond mere aesthetics. The idea of creating synthetic fur stems from an ethical reflection on the benefits for both animals and the environment, as well as the role each individual can play in promoting a more sustainable and respectful fashion industry.
Environmental sustainability, the right way.
The choice of non-animal textiles promotes environmental sustainability. Intensive farming of animals to obtain leather or fur requires a huge amount of natural resources, such as water and food, and contributes to air and water pollution. On the other hand, synthetic or plant-based textiles can be produced more efficiently, requiring fewer resources and reducing the overall environmental impact.
